Join The Gwalia Singers

A Warm Welsh Welcome Awaits.

Annual Concert June 2025

Have you ever felt the floor shake when 60 voices lock into a single, perfect chord? That’s not just music – it’s a physical rush. The Gwalia Singers are looking for men like you to join our ranks and carry on the legendary tradition of the Welsh Male Voice Choir.

Whether you’re a seasoned singer, only sing in the shower or haven’t sung since school, there is a place for you in our harmony.

Why Join the Gwalia Singers?

The “Vibration” Experience: Experience the thrill of four-part harmony (Top Tenor, Second Tenor, Baritone, and Bass). When we hit those notes, you don’t just hear the sound – you feel it in your chest.

A Brotherhood Like No Other: We are teachers, engineers, farmers, and retirees. We come for the music, but we stay for the camaraderie (and the inevitable post-rehearsal pint).

The Ultimate Stress-Buster: Two hours of “active mindfulness” spent focusing on a score is the perfect way to let the day’s worries melt away. It’s a natural endorphin high that leaves you better than you arrived.

Cultural Guardians: Be more than a spectator. By singing classics like Calon Lân and Myfanwy, you become a custodian of Welsh heritage, keeping our national identity alive for the next generation.

Health & Brain Power: It’s a workout for your lungs and your mind! From deep diaphragmatic breathing to the “mental gymnastics” of learning new repertoire in Welsh and English, it’s the best way to stay sharp and fit.

Beyond the Stage: From the legendary “afterglow” (informal singing in the pub after a show) to international tours and performing at iconic venues, the adventure goes far beyond the rehearsal room.

“But I can’t read music…”

Don’t worry—most of us couldn’t either when we started.

We don’t need “perfect” voices; we need commitment and a love for song. You’ll be placed with experienced singers who will guide you every step of the way.

Afraid of the Welsh lyrics? We’ve got you covered with phonetic sheets and plenty of native speakers to help you master those double ‘L’s!
