This was a special evening’s concert for the Choir to thank the long-standing former President Mr. Geoff Wheel for his incredible service and commitment to Gwalia-and raising funds for MND.

The Choir’s programme was varied and interesting encompassing the many rousing, traditional classics together with the quiet melodies in both English and Welsh, and much appreciated by the audience.  Many thanks to Matthew Sims – Gwalia Musical Director, Rhian Liles – Choir accompanist and soloists Dan, Tom and Craig.

The young Gower College soloists Abigail Rankin, Isobel McNeill and Carys Morgan also delighted the audience with their wonderful performances (with accompanist Rhian Liles), very talented young ladies who will, no doubt, have promising careers in Music.

The Choir would also like to thank all sponsors for their generosity, and every effort to raise funds e.g. raffle tickets and interval refreshments by Gwalia Ladies-and especially Gower College for using the venue.

A wonderful evening indeed where we raised £10,039 for MND!
